A Charitable Event 1st May at Friends Meeting House 3.00pm
The Georgians Abroad Project members invite you to attend a charity event to support an annual competition of English Language in Saingilo, next Saturday the 1st of May 3.00pm at Friends Meeting House, Nigel Playfair Avenue, London, W6
You will be able to observe how we make Khatchapuri (Georgian Traditional Cheese Bread), Lobiani (Bean bread) and also taste or take away other traditional dishes.
You will be able to have an old style photo taken of you in traditional Georgian accessories. (For example, Svanetian, Kakhetian, or Khevsuretisan hats, and many more accessories of your choice). Lana Javakhishvili will be your photographer.
And finally if you are interested Keti Japaridze will teach you how to make traditional Georgian dolls (please bring some colourful cloths, beads, threads and needle with you). Both children and adults are welcome.
All prices are suggested prices only. In other words, you can offer more if you like! And your generous donations will go towards a prize. The competition will take place in Kakh with the help of American volunteer Loren Dun on the 25th May.
Apologies for such short notice but we very much hope that you will find an hour to come and enjoy the evening with us
